Fall Break

So, Deirdre and I decided to take advantage of our fall break last weekend by going to Charlottesville with the Witherspoon Fellows on one of their Friday field trips. Here are a few pictures from the trip, taken by a friendly Witherspoon Slovak.

Deirdre looking pensive (and somewhat elvish, if you ask me). I'm pretty sure she's listening to a lecture on Thomas Jefferson on the Bowling Green at Monticello.

At times you'd never guess it, but secretly, Virginia is beautiful too! (this was at UVA)

My turn to look pensive. I think I'm contemplating Thomas Jefferson's epitaph.

Finally, both of us by the gardens of Monticello.

I'm going to out myself as a lurker here by saying I think you two look great in these pictures and I'm so sad I couldn't join y'all that day! I can't wait to meet Deirdre.

Now I know I have found My People -- we're obviously both of the tribe that knows Joseph! Once again I must de-lurk to declare that I'm a Witherspoon Alum! Inducted into the Order of St. George before the new Millennium, when good ol' Gary Bauer was making the presidential race interesting.
And I think Virginia -- AND you ladies -- are both lovely, especially in these pics. :)
